Gisele na VS
Gisele desfilou pela marca pela primeira vez em 1999, ano de sua ascensão internacional como modelo. A brasileira teve momentos icônicos na marca, como ter usado o Fantasy Bra mais caro da história, avaliado em US$ 15 milhões. Gisele foi a modelo escolhida para usar o Fantasy Bra duas vezes, uma em 2000 e outra em 2005.
Atrás apenas da outra brasileira e queridinha da marca, Adriana Lima, Gisele foi a modelo que mais desfilou pela marca: 4 desfiles no total. Em 2006, deixou o posto de angel, e não trabalhou com a marca desde então.
Retorno de Victoria’s Secret
A marca de lingerie esteve em hiato pelos últimos quatro anos após críticas à falta de diversidade de corpos e etnias entre as modelos da marca, objetificação do corpo feminino, além de outras polêmicas envolvendo o nome da grife ou de pessoas envolvidas.
Em anúncio realizado em março, o diretor financeiro da Victoria’s Secret, Tim Johnson, revelou que a marca está passando por uma revitalização e irá apresentar uma “nova versão” em um desfile em setembro deste ano. Em junho, um documentário sobre a grife foi anunciado, e está previsto para lançamento em 26 de setembro de 2023, na plataforma de streaming Amazon Prime Video.

The Tour
O desfile de retorno do Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, intitulado “The Tour”, irá acontecer no dia 26 de setembro, mesmo dia de estreia do documentário, transmitido pela Amazon Prime Video, e será marcado pela volta de Adriana Lima aos palcos da grife, após sua saída em 2018, e de Candice Swanepoel. Apesar dos boatos, ainda não se sabe se Gisele também estará de volta aos desfiles.
A cantora Doja Cat foi convidada pela marca a se apresentar. As veteranas Gigi Hadid, Taylor Hill, Adut Akech Bior, Winnie Harlow e Naomi Campbell já estão 100% confirmadas. A promessa da VS é trazer um casting de modelos mais diversificado, com as estreias de Jill Kortleve, Michaela Stark, Honey Dijon, Amelia Gray, Imaan Hammam, Sora Choi, Iris Law, Maty, Adwoa Aboah, Guinevere van Seenus e Lila Grace.
