‘Cabelos esculturais’ marcam presença no red carpet do Grammy

A 65ª cerimônia do Grammy Awards, maior premiação da indústria da música, ocorreu ontem em Los Angeles, na Califórnia. Em meio aos 91 premiados em diversas categorias, quem roubou a cena foram os cabelos esculturais!

Esses penteados trazem as madeixas hiper-definidas, formando desenhos e formas geométricas e, por isso, chamados de “esculturais”.

Uma das celebridades a exibir o cabelo modelado dessa forma foi a cantora de jazz Samara Joy, que chamou a atenção do Brasil por desbancar Anitta na categoria Artista Revelação. A jovem de 23 anos se apresentou com uma trança ornamentada, formando três arcos entrelaçados.

A compositora Cherdericka foi outra a aparecer com o cabelo estruturado: três coques altos e uma mecha colada à testa. A cantora Amanda Reifer também usou três coques altos – mas com um desenho vertical. Ainda nos coques, a atriz e cantora Queen Latifah apareceu com um coque alto trabalhado, que passava a impressão de nós entrelaçados.

Essa forma ousada de moldar cabelos já tinha começado a dar as caras em outros red carpets. Em janeiro deste ano, nos Golden Globes, Rihanna usou um cabelo estruturado em forma de flor. Além disso, no vídeo em que anunciava sua apresentação no Super Bowl deste ano, a cantora apareceu com tranças super altas e chamativas, modeladas pelo hair stylist de celebridades Yusef.

Também em janeiro, o Critics Choice Awards teve artistas como Anya Taylor-Joy, Ana Sawai e Quinta Brunson, as três com coques modelados e definidos de forma escultural.

A tendência já chegou no Brasil. Em dezembro de 2022, no TikTok Awards, em São Paulo, influencers brasileiras usaram penteados – especialmente, coques – super definidos, moldados de forma escultural. Foi o caso de GKay, Lelê Burnier e Bianca Andrade.

Em 2020, a grife Marc Jacobs já havia usado a técnica de penteados esculturais em uma ação. Em parceria com a hair stylist Laetitia Ky, a marca fez fotos para promover bolsas da marca. A artista compartilha em sua conta do Instagram as esculturas que faz com o cabelo, usando-o como forma de expressão para promover temas como feminismo e identidade negra.
