“Tecnicamente, eu sou um bebê do nepotismo”, iniciou ela em uma entrevista ao jornal Times of London. “Meus pais sempre diziam: ‘Não é porque você tem pais que são bem-sucedidos, que você não deve trabalhar duro”, justificou. “Eu não acho que sou a mais linda do mundo. Recentemente, em uma declaração rara, Gigi compartilhou como divide a criação e a guarda de sua filha Khai, fruto de seu antigo relacionamento com o cantor Zayn Malik.
“Sempre quis ser mãe, mas nunca fui obcecada por isso ou [pensei que] fui colocada nesta Terra para ser mãe”, disse ela ao The Sunday Times.
Hadid explica que sua atual ralação com Malik se baseia em “manter a importância da felicidade da criança em primeiro plano”, e que quando se trata de sua agenda profissional, a mesma tenta manter os compromissos e viagens de negócios “quando a pequena está com o pai”.

Gigi e Zayn estiveram juntos por cerca de cinco anos e colocaram um fim na relação em setembro de 2020.
Apesar do motivo do término não ter sido confirmado por nenhuma das estrelas, em outubro do ano seguinte (2021), fontes relataram que Zayn havia sido acusado de supostamente empurrar a mãe de Hadid, Yolanda, durante uma discussão.

Atualmente, além das passarelas, Gigi se dedica a carreira de apresentadora e estreia na Netflix como co-host do designer de moda Tan France, a frente da 2ª temporada do “Next in Fashion”.
No reality, estilistas em ascensão são desafiados a criar looks que qualquer pessoa possa usar e que impressionem os jurados especialistas – dentre os nomes da nova temporada, Donatella Versace e Bella Hadid, irmã de Gigi. O intuito é se destacar e concorrer à chance de ganhar US$ 200.000, além de ter sua coleção apresentada para o Net-a-Porter, portal de vendas de moda.
