Mark Zuckerberg, CEO da Meta, anunciou que a família irá aumentar. Ele e a esposa, Priscilla Chan, estão esperando o nascimento de uma menina, sendo assim, a terceira filha do casal. A revelação foi feita nesta quarta-feira (21), por meio das redes sociais do empresário. Mark publicou uma imagem abraçado com a esposa, com a mão repousada sobre a barriga dela. Na legenda, deu a notícia para seus seguidores.
“Muito amor. Felizes em anunciar que Max e August vão ter uma nova irmã no próximo ano!”, contou.

Mark e Priscilla se conheceram na universidade, em 2003. O casal decidiu morar junto em setembro de 2010 e estão casados desde 2012. Para os convidados, a festa de casamento foi uma surpresa. Na época, o casal fez suspense sobre o evento e contaram que seria uma celebração pela formatura de Priscilla na faculdade de medicina. O casal tem outras duas filhas, Máxima, de 6 anos, e August, de 5.
Recentemente, Zuckerberg obteve notícias não tão promissoras sobre sua fortuna. Segundo a Forbes, o patrimônio do co-fundador da Meta, dona do Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp e Oculus, caiu de US$ 125 bilhões para US$ 55,3 bilhões, uma perda equivalente a R$ 360 bilhões. De acordo com essa informação, o empresário passa a ser a 20ª pessoa mais rica do mundo, portanto, isso significa que Mark já perdeu mais da metade de sua riqueza em 2022, mesmo antes do término do ano.

O lucro líquido da Meta caiu 36%, sendo mais de US$ 3 bilhões, no segundo trimestre de 2022, comparado ao mesmo período de 2021. Os últimos 12 meses foram conturbados para a empresa, com a piora em especial após o anúncio de que estariam investindo no mundo metaverso, em outubro do ano passado.
Após as mudanças na estrutura, os ganhos da empresa se tornaram cada vez menores. O portal Insider citou um dos momentos desfavoráveis para a Meta no ano passado, quando a engenheira Frances Haugen divulgou alguns documentos internos da empresa e em um deles, apresentava pesquisas internas que afirmavam que o Instagram contribuiu para distúrbios alimentares e pensamentos suicidas entre os adolescentes.
