O ator Zac Efron, foi capa da revista Men’s Health, e falou pela primeira vez sobre o motivo de sua mudança física. Em 2021, o ator foi alvo de especulações sobre cirurgias plásticas em seu rosto após aparecer em um vídeo promocional sobre o dia da terra. Ele revelou que a mudança no rosto foi decorrente de um acidente doméstico.
Zac Efron revelou que fraturou a mandíbula enquanto corria de meia dentro de casa. Durante a recuperação, os músculos da face se desenvolveram e causaram a mudança na sua aparência. O eterno astro de High School Musical contou que só ficou sabendo dos rumores de que teria feito uma cirurgia plástica quando recebeu uma ligação de sua mãe, questionando ele sobre a suposta intervenção facial. Ele revelou que não é tão ligado nas redes sociais e não costuma ligar muito para opinião do público sobre sua aparência: “Se eu valorizasse o que outras pessoas pensam de mim a medida em que elas pensam que eu valorizo, eu definitivamente não seria capaz de fazer esse trabalho”, disse Zac na entrevista.

Efron relembrou também a preparação intensa que precisou fazer para atingir o físico do filme “Baywatch” e revelou que no processo sofreu com insônia e desenvolveu uma depressão. “Comecei a desenvolver insônia e caí em uma depressão muito forte por um longo tempo. Tive muita dificuldade em me estabilizar. Eles atribuíram isso a tomar muitos diuréticos por muito tempo, e isso estragou alguma coisa”.

O ator contou que hoje prefere viver com mais gordura corporal, pois o físico de “Baywatch”, para ele, é um pouco inalcançável, além de exigir muito do corpo e precisar usar diuréticos e ingerir pouco líquido, o que, sem supervisão, pode ser prejudicial à saúde. Após um tempo longe das telinhas e projetos, Zac Efron vai estar no filme que estreia na Apple TV+ ‘The Greatest Beer Run Ever’, em 30 de setembro.
