Rob Zombie revela logo do remake de ‘Os monstros’

O cineasta Rob Zombie publicou no dia de ontem (09/11) em seu instagram uma foto de um set de gravação, onde em uma cadeira de diretor aparece o logo oficial do longa ‘Os Monstros’, filme que será dirigido pelo roqueiro, sendo uma adaptação do filme com o mesmo nome dos anos 60.

A história do filme é sobre uma adorável família que vive numa rua pacata, mas que não fazem amizades com os vizinhos pelo fato dessa família ser composta por monstros, como o Frankenstein, e Drácula como o vovô.

A série foi lançada em 1964 pela CBS, ficou ao ar por apenas dois anos, com o elenco composto por Fred Gwynne, Yvonne de Carlo, Al Lewis, Butch Patrick e Beverley Owen que passou pouco tempo nas telas, sendo substituída logo em seguida por Pat Priest, durante a época que estava no ar a série, travava uma batalha direta de audiência com a outra família monstruosa ‘A Família Addams’, mesmo ganhando reconhecimento em audiência, a série nunca conseguiu atingir seu auge nas grandes telas.

E Rob Zombie, que além de dirigir irá atuar também, publicou alguns detalhes da nova versão da máscara do personagem Herman Munster, “Tiramos a argila da escultura e começou aqui uma testa muito proeminente para ‘Os monstros'” brincou o cineasta em sua legenda.

O longa terá no seu elenco além de Zombi, Jeff Daniel Phillips como Herman Munster, Dan Roebuck como o vovô e Sheri Moon Zombie como Lily Munster, ainda não tem previsão de estreia para o filme nos cinemas. 

Após sair do ar e ser cancelada em 1966, a série, virou filme e algumas versões de filme também para a televisão, houve uma volta de mais três temporadas nos anos 80, que remodelou a ideia principal da série, era uma perspectiva mais sombria e não na intenção do humor, porém não teve sucesso novamente e saiu do ar mais uma vez.

E Rob Zombie não é um estranho no área dos remakes, ele já refez a franquia de ‘Halloween’ em 2007, com uma sequência para o ano de 2009.
