O Barcelona conquistou a LaLiga 2022/23 de forma antecipada. Após a vitória por 4×2 contra o Espanyol, seu rival local. Com catorze pontos à frente do vice-líder Real Madrid, o clube Blaugrana garantiu o título, matematicamente, na trigésima quarta rodada do campeonato de pontos corridos.
O clube passou por uma reformulação estrutural nos últimos anos após uma crise política e financeira, que fez com que o clube tivesse que vender algumas de suas estrelas para poder se adequar a realidade em que viviam.
Esse fato ficou no passado, e a equipe comandada pelo ídolo Xavi Hernandez alcançou 85 pontos com 27 vitórias, 4 empates e apenas 3 derrotas. Esse é o primeiro título da LaLiga conquistado por Robert Lewandowski no Barcelona, o atacante soma até o momento 21 gols, sendo os dois últimos no jogo que os sagrou campeões.

O clube catalão não conquistava o título da competição desde a temporada de 2018/19, quando Lionel Messi ainda atuava pela equipe. Na ocasião o Barcelona terminou onze pontos à frente do segundo colocado Atlético de Madrid e conquistou o título com três rodadas de antecedência, com o atacante argentino sendo o artilheiro da competição com 36 gols. Essa conquista faz com que os culés diminuam a distância do número de títulos em relação ao Real Madrid, que possui 35 conquistas.

Ainda nessa temporada o Barcelona conquistou a supercopa da Espanha em cima do Real Madrid pelo placar de 3×1 em um jogo em que a equipe catalã ganhou com sobras.
O próximo confronto do já campeão Barcelona será contra o Real Sociedad no Camp Nou, e será o encontro após o título com a sua torcida.
