O atacante norueguês assinou contrato com o City até 2027. A joia de 21 anos teve seu anúncio revelado na última segunda-feira (13) pelo clube inglês. Com chegada calorosa, Haaland encontrou com alguns jogadores da equipe e conversou com o brasileiro Fernandinho.

Em papo com um dos grandes líderes do elenco e visto como peça fundamental por Pep Guardiola, o ex-Borussia admitiu que será uma grande pressão jogar na Premier League. No dia de seu anúncio, Haaland comentou sobre como será vestir a camisa do City, veja:

“Este é um momento de orgulho para mim e para a minha família. Eu sempre acompanhei o City e amei fazer isso nas últimas temporadas”, ele completa: “Não tem como não admirar o estilo de jogo. É empolgante e cria muitas chances, o que é perfeito para um jogador como eu. Quero fazer gols, ganhar troféus e evoluir como jogador”

Diante da sua chegada, o City agora terá mais um atleta que receberá um enorme salário. Ao lado de Kevin De Bruyne, o norueguês deve receber por volta de 75 mil libras (R$ 2,3 milhões) por semana. O diretor de futebol do clube inglês, Txiki Begiristain, fez comentários sobre a nova contratação do time.

“Nós monitoramos Haaland por anos. Estamos felizes por trazê-lo para o Manchester City. Ele tem um talento enorme e tem tudo que nós queremos em um atacante. Estamos certos de que ele terá excelência neste elenco e neste sistema.”

Além do destaque que estava tendo no Borussia Dortmund, na Alemanha, Haaland também é o grande jogador da Noruega, que está jogando a Liga das Nações. Com 10 pontos, eles lideram o Grupo 4 da Liga B da competição.
