A disputa de seleções Sul-Americano que acontece no próximo mês entre o dia 19 de janeiro e 12 de fevereiro de 2023 na Colômbia, conta com jogadores de diversos times de diversos países. O Palmeiras, time Paulista, notificou a CBF (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol) que não possui o propósito de liberar os jogadores atacantes Endrick e Giovani para a seleção brasileira Sub-20.

Estes dois, que possuem no dia 2 de janeiro uma representação marcada para o inicio da pré temporada do time, ao fazerem parte da composição profissional do Palmeiras, já cumprem muitos treinos e uma rotina diária de exercícios para que se apresentem no Paulistão.
O time se preocupa com uma grande ausência no início da temporada dos jogos, pois pode prejudicar muito o rendimento de toda a equipe, já que possuem o Paulistão e a final da Supercopa que irá ser disputada no final do período. Não só Endrick e Giovani foram convocados pelo técnico Ramon Menezes, mas também o goleiro Kaique para disputar a competição, o qual o Palmeiras não se opõe a participação e deve liberá-lo para participação dos jogos e o qual estará presente no torneio de bases.

Os jogadores integram o Palmeiras a um ano e meio. Enquanto Giovani possui 18 anos, Endrick tem 16 e foi negociado com o Real Madrid recentemente, e ambos já possuem elenco profissional. Já o Goleiro Kaique, com 19 anos e que será liberado pelo time, possui destaque em diversos campeonatos, inclusive a Copa Sub-20 de 2022.
O Sub-20 Sul Americano que acontecerá no próximo ano já foi reconhecido pelo Brasil e quais serão seus adversários nos jogos na fase de grupos. A Argentina e Brasil estão no Grupo A, acompanhado da Colômbia, o Peru e o Paraguai, enquanto no Grupo B os países Equador, Venezuela, Bolívia, Chile e Uruguai estão presentes.
