A série “Stranger Things” tem se mostrado uma verdadeira ‘máquina do tempo musical’. O volume 1 da quarta temporada do seriado levou “Running Up That Hill”, clássico do cultuado “Hounds of Love” (1985) de Kate Bush ao topo das paradas. O segundo volume, que estreou há pouco mais de uma semana, levou “Master of Puppets” (1986), do Metallica, para a posição de número 26 na parada global do top 50 do Spotify. Em postagem nas redes sociais oficiais, a banda de Thrash Metal exaltou os irmãos Duffer.
“A maneira com que os irmãos Duffer incorporaram músicas em Stranger Things sempre foi algo especial, então nós estamos mais do que honrados, não só por eles terem incluído “Master of Puppets” na série, mas por a terem colocado em uma cena tão importante. Nós todos ficamos animados para ver o resultado e, quando vimos, ficamos totalmente deslumbrados. É tão bem feito que algumas pessoas conseguiram adivinhar a música apenas olhando para as mãos de Joseph Quinn (ator que interpreta o personagem Eddie Munson) no ‘trailer’. Master of Puppets
A faixa “Master of Puppets” foi um dos principais singles do Metallica, lançado em 1986 no terceiro álbum de estúdio da banda, de mesmo nome. Ao lado de músicas como “Battery”, “Lepper Messiah”, “Orion” e “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)”, “Master of Puppets” é uma das faixas mais influentes da história do Metal. O álbum, que completou 36 anos este ano, também é marcado por ser o último com o icônico baixista Cliff Burton, que faleceu em um acidente de ônibus na Suécia durante a turnê promocional, sendo posteriormente substituído por Jason Newsted.
