Hoje é dia de rock, bebê! Nesta sexta-feira (2), acontece o primeiro dia de shows do Rock In Rio 2022. As portas da Cidade do Rock se abrem às 14h para o tradicional Dia do Metal. Com ingressos esgotados, cerca de 100 mil pessoas se reúnem hoje para os shows das bandas brasileiras Sepultura, que se apresenta ao lado da Orquestra Sinfônica, e Ratos do Porão, além das internacionais Bullet For My Dream, Dream Theater, Gojira e a grande atração da noite: Iron Maiden.

A nona edição do festival, que anteriormente aconteceria no ano passado, foi adiada para esse ano devido à pandemia da Covid-19. Para Roberta Medina, vice-presidente executiva do Rock In Rio apesar dos desafios do corona vírus, precisamos celebrar: “Mesmo com todos os desafios que a gente ainda está vivendo, a gente tem que celebrar. Porque a alegria traz esperança, eleva nossa autoestima e, com esperança e autoestima, a gente constrói o país que a gente quer ver”. Agora, 3 anos depois, o Festival está de volta e acontece nos dias 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 e 11 de setembro.
