A apresentação do cantor que ocorreu no SoFi Stadium, em Inglewood, nos Estados unidos, nos dias 26 e 27 de novembro de 2022, foi gravada em alta definição e será disponibilizada pela plataforma de streaming a partir do dia 25 de fevereiro. O artista ainda tem outro projeto em produção para lançamento em parceria com a HBO, a série “The Idol” está programada para chegar a plataforma ainda está ano.

A previa do show pode ser considerada como um esquenta pelos fãs brasileiros, afinal, The weeknd desembarca com a turnê no Brasil em outubro deste ano, com shows no Rio de Janeiro no dia 07/10 no estádio Nilton Santos Engenhão e nos dias 10, 11/10 na cidade de São Paulo, no Allianz Parque. Em sua passagem pela américa latina o cantor também se apresentara no México, Colômbia, Argentina e Chile.

Além das estreias e produções envolvendo The Weeknd, o astro canadense conquistou mais um feito histórico para sua carreira nesta quinta-feira (09), acumulando o maior número de ouvintes mensais na história do spotify, contabilizando o total de 94.7 milhões de ouvintes mensais em sua conta. Na última semana a canção “Blinding Lihgts” se tornou a música mais reproduzida pela plataforma de streaming.

Abel Makkonen, mais conhecido como The Weeknd, iniciou sua carreira no youtube em 2010 e logo após lançou mixtapes de nove canções que foram bem recebidas pela crítica. Em 2012 lançou seu primeiro álbum, mas somente com o segundo álbum produzido, “Beaty Behind the Madness” que o alcançou sua primeira colocação na Billboard 200, daí em diante o músico do gênero R&B estourou no mundo todo e vem colecionando inúmeras conquistas.
