Dois dias depois do clube árabe conquistar a vitória na Copa dos Campeões Árabes, Al Nassr estreou com derrota por 2 a 1 para o time Al Ettifaq nesta segunda-feira (14). A equipe foi comandada pelo Luis Castro, ex-treinador do Botafogo, que decidiu poupar o craque Cristiano Ronaldo neste jogo.

Sem Cristiano Ronaldo, Mané abriu o placar ao Nassr, mas acabou perdendo devido às goleadas de Dembelé e Quaison no primeiro tempo. Sadio Mané fez seu primeiro gol nesta segunda-feira em sua quinta partida oficial pelo clube. Depois de 14 minutos de acréscimo que o juiz contou, o senegalês tentou fazer seu segundo gol contra Al Ettifaq, porém acabou sendo anulado por impedimento.
No Estádio Príncipe Mohamed Bin Fahd, em Damman, no primeiro tempo, foi evidente que ambas as equipes estavam muito apagadas e sem muita atitude no ataque. No entanto, Al Ettifaq tinha mais dificuldade em sair da zona de marcação enquanto Al Nassr administrava o resultado positivo, mesmo que a partida estivesse 0 a 0.

No segundo tempo, foi perceptível a mudança dos jogadores, com muito mais movimentação e intensidade. Aos quatro minutos, apenas, Quaison fez sua goleada durante cobrança de escanteio. Logo em seguida, aos sete minutos, Dembelé completou e fez mais um para a virada e, mesmo assim, os visitantes da casa, Al Nassr, não conseguiram somar pontos.

Neste sábado (12), Al Nassr conquistou o título da Copa dos Campeões Árabes com dois gols marcados pelo craque de 38 anos, Cristiano Ronaldo, na partida por 2 a 1 contra Al Hilal, comandada pelo técnico Jorge Jesus. O atacante português foi o destaque nas partidas de seu time com seis gols em seis jogos na competição, levando, no último final de semana, seu primeiro título conquistado desde a transferência para o mundo árabe, em 2022.

Em entrevista para a imprensa local, Cristiano elogiou a Liga Saudita e garantiu que permaneceria no clube. “Creio que a liga é muito boa e competitiva. Temos muito boas equipes e jogadores árabes. Quero continuar e vou continuar aqui”, afirma. “As infraestruturas, penso que precisam melhorar. Até os árbitros e o sistema do VAR. Mas, em minha opinião, se continuarem fazendo o trabalho que querem fazer nos próximos cinco anos, a liga saudita consegue chegar ao top 5 do mundo”, concluiu.
O astro que chegou ao clube em janeiro de 2023 elogia a liga, mas também afirma que algumas mudanças estão pendentes, como o VAR e os árbitros, mas que, para ele, o Campeonato Saudita pode se tornar um dos melhores do mundo do futebol.
