Ao se deparar com a tarefa de transformar seres humanos em bonecas, Primorac conta que ela e sua equipe tiveram encontros semanais com a diretora Greta Gerwig, a designer de produção Sarah Greenwood e a figurinista Jacqueline Durran para discutir a melhor forma de representar a perfeição de Barbie.
Processo criativo por trás do visual de Barbie
Primorac descreveu como a equipe mergulhou em um intenso processo de planejamento, discussões e mudanças de roteiro para encontrar a abordagem certa ao criar os visuais de Barbie e Ken. Inicialmente, a diretora tinha a ideia de recriar um visual “plástico”, buscando brilho e perfeição que não fossem comuns ao mundo real. No entanto, após vários testes, a equipe descobriu que a perfeição de Barbie não precisava ser tão literal.
