O Atlético Mineiro anunciou na tarde do dia 19 de novembro o técnico Eduardo Coudet. O argentino estava sem clube e chega para ocupar a vaga deixada pelo ex-técnico e ídolo do Galo, Cuca.

Cuca, campeão da Libertadores e da Copa do Brasil pelo Galo, entrou em acordo com a diretoria do clube e decidiu deixar o posto de técnico no início dessa semana, após sua terceira passagem pelo clube mineiro.
Eduardo Coudet terá sua estreia pelo Galo em 2023, quando o clube mineiro jogará a pré-libertadores, tentando garantir sua vaga para a fase de grupos da competição continental.
Além da pré-libertadores, o time mineiro disputará o Campeonato Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil e o Campeonato Mineiro. O Galo buscar uma campanha vencedora igual a de 2021, quando ganhou as duas competições nacionais. Em março a Arena MRV vai ser inaugurada, assim fazendo com que o Galo jogue em seu próprio estádio.
Após o anúncio oficial, o Galo usou suas redes sociais para passar a mensagem do novo treinador.

Com a chegada do técnico argentino, chega sua comissão com dois auxiliares técnicos (Ariel Broggi e Diego Monarriz), preparador físico (Octávio Manera) e um analista de desempenho (Carlos Miguel Fernández).
Eduardo Coudet vai fazer sua segunda passagem pelo futebol brasileiro, em 2020, o técnico comandou a equipe do Internacional, onde ficou por cerca de 9 meses no comando.
Nascido em Buenos Aires, Coudet, de 45 anos, foi meio-campista e iniciou a carreira como treinador em 2015, na equipe argentina Rosario Central. Em 2017, o treinador comandou a primeira equipe fora da Argentina, o Tijuana, no México.
A diretoria do clube mineiro vê o argentino como o nome ideal para assumir a equipe, pois já tem experiência no futebol brasileiro e estava disponível no mercado.
