Pathy Dejesus e Natasha Soares protagonizaram um diálogo revelador sobre questões como gordofobia, racismo na moda e a carreira de modelo. O encontro entre as duas gerações da moda aconteceu na seção “Diálogos” da Vogue Brasil, proporcionando uma discussão franca e inspiradora.
Pathy Dejesus, que iniciou sua carreira como modelo em 1994 aos 17 anos, é reconhecida como a primeira modelo negra a desfilar na São Paulo Fashion Week, na sua primeira edição em 1995. Sua trajetória foi marcada por grandes conquistas e tornou-se uma referência para sua época. Já Natasha Soares, de 26 anos, surge como uma nova voz na moda. Durante a pandemia, Natasha co-criou o movimento Pretos na Moda e o Projeto Sankofa, que visam reivindicar a representatividade de modelos e criadores pretos no cenário fashion brasileiro. Como resultado desses esforços, um pacto foi firmado com o SPFW, estabelecendo que pelo menos metade dos modelos do evento deveriam ser racializados, além da inclusão de novos criadores pretos.

No diálogo, Pathy questiona quais ensinamentos as modelos de sua geração e anteriores trouxeram para que a nova geração, representada por Natasha, pudesse compreender melhor o universo da moda.
