A atriz Lupita Nyong’o, de 39 anos, foi nomeada nesta última quinta-feira (27), como a primeira embaixadora global da marca ‘De Beers’, considerada uma gigante indústria de conglomerados em mineração de diamantes. Lupita é a primeira atriz queniana e mexicana a ganhar um Oscar, em 2013 no longa ’12 anos de Escravidão’ e mundialmente conhecida por interpretar (Nakia) na saga ‘O Pantera Negra’.
A artista irá estrelar a nova campanha intitulada ‘De Beers: Where It Begins – traduzido para -‘ De Beers: Onde Começa’. O projeto conta a história da marca de luxo global e no vídeo é possível acompanhar Nyong’o em uma caminhada de descobertas, encontrando um diamante bruto que se transforma magicamente em joias raras e elegantes.

Entenda o objetivo da parceria
A linha é assinada pelo aclamado fotógrafo e diretor australiano Lachlan Bailey, que vem trabalhando para Chanel, Pucci e Vogue, fotografando nomes como: Margot Robbie, Scarlette Johansson e Angelina Jolie. A data de lançamento global é para 3 de novembro, na qual terá ativações integradas e vários pontos de contato. A parceria também apoiará o movimento ‘Building Forever’ da De Beers, que busca promover que mulheres e meninas descubram os seus diamantes.

O objetivo principal da campanha é a busca dos objetivos públicos que envolvem 10.000 meninas na STEM, a apoiar 10.000 mulheres e empreendedoras e, assim, investir pelo menos US$ 10 milhões em toda região da África Austral com a meta de atingir até 2030.

A atriz já está aproveitando para usar e divulgar as joias de diamantes em suas produções, aparecendo nas premièries pelo mundo de ‘Pantera Negra: Wakanda para Sempre”.
