A marca de chinelos mais conhecida do Brasil lançou a coleção “Quebrada Cria”, na segunda (14), inspirada por artistas da periferia que criaram e projetaram suas interpretações da favela em ilustrações exclusivas para os chinelos Havaianas. Essa parceria de sucesso feita com a ONG Gerando Falcões objetiva dar visibilidade na arte das favelas fortalecendo essa atividade.
Os artistas que participaram do projeto foram Robézio e Teresa, do Acidum Project, de Fortaleza e Caucaia, no Ceará. Luis World do Nacional, da periferia de Contagem MG; Wanatta, do Alto Vera Cruz de Belo Horizonte e Jamaikah, da Vila Helenita, em Viamão, RS.
A Gerando Falcões é uma ONG fundada por Edu Lyra que funciona como um ecossistema de desenvolvimento social por meio de redes em periferias e favelas de todo o Brasil. “A favela é a maior startup brasileira, um berço de inovação para esporte, arte, música, gastronomia e empreendedorismo”, destacou Edu Lyra em comunicado. O projeto conta com universidade a Falcons University, oficinas que transformam a pobreza das favelas em item de museu, entre outros. “A Havaianas abriu sua plataforma para retratar essa inovação e transformar em impacto social na ponta. Um case do que é ESG [Ambiental, Social e Governança, em português]. Referência de uma empresa e uma ONG combatendo juntas a pobreza em escala nas favelas”, completou.

Nas comunidades onde os artistas moram a coleção será vendida com valores mais acessíveis, Funari disse ainda que 7% do lucro dessa venda liquida será destinada ao projeto “Quebrada Cria”.
