O single é caracterizado como mistura de rave funk com pop. A produção musical do single “Sereia” é de Hitmaker & TH4I. Já a letra, é de autoria de Tállia, Bárbara Dias, Romeu R3 e Klismman.

Essa parceria entre Lia Clark e Pabllo Vittar não é inédita, em 2017, elas gravaram juntas duas músicas, “Ele é o Tal” e “Tome Curtindo (Brabo Remix)”. A primeira faixa foi introduzida no álbum “Vai Passar Mal”, de Pabllo Vittar; a segunda faixa foi aderida ao álbum “Clark Boom”, de Lia Clark.

Antes da divulgação de “Sereia” com Lia Clark, Pabllo Vittar revelou em entrevista que está fazendo terapia pois a cantora vem sofrendo ataques virtuais. Ela disse que constantemente sofre com inúmeros comentários negativos e até mesmo maldosos. Segundo a artista, as pessoas são preconceituosas, não aceitam ver um menino gay do nordeste fazendo sucesso para milhares de pessoas. A artista finalizou dizendo que decidiu se afastar do Twitter para cuidar de sua saúde mental.
