Com capacidade para três mil pessoas, inaugurou hoje (20), em Gramado, o NBA Park, maior espaço de experiências da National Basketball Association (NBA), uma das mais importantes ligas profissionais de basquetebol do mundo.
Entre as atrações estão gincanas, uma quadra de basquetebol, jogos e o clássico jogo de arcade de arremessos. A estrutura conta com quatro mil metros quadrados e cinco andares, e também abriga um restaurante, um museu e uma loja oficial. No museu, o visitante pode encontrar 25 itens autografados, além de itens como o troféu Larry O’Brien, considerado o destaque da exposição.

Em relação ao motivo de investidores considerarem a cidade brasileira como hospedagem do primeiro parque temático da NBA, é apontada a localização estratégica do país e, também, o fato de ser um grande mercado consumidor: “O Brasil é o terceiro maior mercado de NBA no mundo, só atrás da China e dos Estados Unidos. Por isso, tivemos bastante apoio de Nova Iorque para essa empreitada”, afirma Sérgio Parrella Filho, Vice-Presidente de Licenciamentos e Varejo da NBA.
“Gramado tem o lance da experiência como uma característica forte. Então, é um local que está preparado para esse tipo de parque, cujos turistas muitas vezes vêm para cá com o intuito de conhecer esses espaços“, destaca Parrella. A cidade da Serra Gaúcha foi eleita o segundo melhor destino do Brasil pelo prêmio Travelers’ Choice, e recebe mais de seis milhões de turistas anualmente. A expectativa da NBA é lucrar 60 milhões de reais por ano.

Gramado vem crescendo exponencionalmente no setor turístico, sendo casa para parques como a Vila da Mônica Gramado, licenciada pela Mauricio de Sousa Produções que inaugurou em 2022; o Snowland, parque temático de neve; e o parque da NASA, chamado Space Adventure.
